JENNY WILDRICK M.S, LPC, CRC, CPRP

Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor

Hello! My name is Jenny Wildrick. I am a native of Northeastern Pennsylvania. I graduated from Keystone College in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and completedmy Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2017 from the University of Scranton. I am currently working towards my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with Capella University.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner. My interests and experience include Substance Abuse, Mental Health, Career Counseling, Disability, and Advocacy. I have over 8 years of experience in the field. My prior experience includes working as a manager in a mental health group home, a case manager for children and adolescents, and working as a counselor for co-occurring populations in both a psychiatric hospital and a rehabilitation treatment center. I also have experience working with eating disorders. My counseling approach is rooted in a Person-Centered holistic approach as well as Cognitive-behavioral therapy. I tend to use these therapies as a foundation to meet clients where they are at and help to empower and promote change. Interventions that I utilize are individual therapy, family therapy, motivational interviewing, Trauma-Focused CBT, coping skills, life skills, mindfulness, and empowerment. I enjoy working with clients to build a therapeutic relationship that allows them to understand and process their struggles and concerns, as well as set goals, and develop healthy coping skills. I believe counseling works best by providing a comfortable space where clients can feel safe to explore and improve themselves freely and without judgement.
